The Friday 56 Meme: Week 1

I really like the idea of showcasing a book by giving you a little teaser from said book. Freda’s Voice hosts the Friday 56 meme, and I wanted to take part. Here are the rules:

1. Find a book and turn to page 56 (e-books, go to 56% of the book or however you would like)

Mom was wearing her best green dress, the one that appears in all her publicity shots, and Dad was in his usual professional ensemble–tweed jacket, white shirt, khaki slacks. I’m currently 80 pages in, and it’s interesting so far. I’m not big on zombies (although I loved the show In the Flesh), but I like the idea of sibling bloggers trying to find the origin of the zombie apocalypse. I’m sure you’ll see a post from me on my reading process.
