Top Ten Tuesday #13: Facts About Me

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. This week I’m going to share ten facts about me that you probably don’t know.

I love Kdramas. – Let’s start at the beginning. I was introduced into Korean media (music, tv shows, movies) in early 2010 when I saw my first Kpop music video: SHINee’s Ring Ding Dong. From that moment I was hooked. I fell in love with SHINee, 2ne1, and Big Bang. Right now I love love love VIXX. I believe I’ve talked about them once before on this blog. Anywho, back to dramas. I started watching Kdrams, my first being Boys Over Flowers which lead to Coffee Prince which lead to To the Beautiful You, You’re Beautiful, Fated to Love You, The Heirs…I know I’m missing some. I just finished Beating Again/Falling in Love with Soon Jung. I haven’t finished Fated to Love You because that hurts my heart too much. And watching Kdrams has lead me to the Taiwanese drama Bromance which is probably in my top 3 dramas ever.

I can keep talking about Kdramas, but there are 9 other things I want to talk about. I’ll keep the rest short.

Favorite movie: Moulin Rouge – I cannot express how much I love this movie. I will sing those songs and know all the dialogue until I die.

I am currently apartment hunting – I’m almost 24, and I’ve been wanting to move out on my own for a while now. Problem is apartments are so expensive especially if you’re doing a one bedroom. The hunt continues.

Speaking of almost 24, my birthday is near the end of July. – I still can’t believe I’m this old. It feels like yesterday I was starting college.

I either have HGTV, DIY or the Foodnetwork on – I may not be watching it. Rather, I have it as background noise, but if the tv is on, one of those channels is on.

My favorite number is 16 – Why? I have no clue. I just really like that number.

Clothing Style: Layered Every Day, All Day – I usually have 2 shirts on. If I don’t, I’ll wear a jacket all day. Skirts 95% of the time have leggings. And I love plaid shirts.

I’m a former nightowl – I say former because many nights I fall asleep around 9, usually on  or nearby my boyfriend. I always feel bad about that. Although last night I was up until 2am, so it varies.

I played musical instruments – I started with the flute, although I wanted the saxophone. Then I moved on to the piano. I don’t remember much for the flute since that was before junior high. I still remember how to play the piano and I mess around with the keyboard. I would love to learn how to play the violin.

And, since I always think of this when I talk about junior high: I looked like a poodle for my 8th grade pictures – Another way to describe it was a horrible imitation of the Shirley Temple style. Just…hair experiment gone wrong.
